POWER OF POTENTIAL lesson 1 and 2

I’m excited to learn from this book.
My goal is to make life decisions based on biblical
principle and to develop character built on integrity.

That’s why I’m seriously considering turning in my TV.
TV is such a waste of time. It doesn’t add any value to my life.
As a matter of fact, it robs me of precious time that should be used reading,
praying, meditating, and learning.

After 24 years of incarceration, it’s time I wisely invest my time
in more reading and learning. And more writing! TV is full of sin and temptation. Instead of watching TV , I should be learning biblical principles,
increasing my integrity, building my character, and investing my time in worthy causes.

The only way to win the good fight is to read and learn,
then apply what is learned.

I’m super focused on obeying Gods commands.
The Bible teaches me those commands.
When I obey, I’m blessed.
When I disobey, I’m cursed.
What a simple concept.

But to truly obey ALL of Gods commands???
Wow! What a challenge!

That means controlling every thought and directing it towards love
no matter what. That means obeying every rule. Even staff and administrators don’t obey EVERY rule.

I’m learning that my ability to resist sin is
proportionate to my ability to obey God.
That’s why I start my day by seeking the Lord
through prayer and reading the Bible.

How can I resist the Devil all day if I don’t
start off with a good strong dose of Jesus?
My past is evident…I can’t!

Preparation is the foundation for success.
So first and foremost, I prep my day with the powder of Jesus
and his fundamental teachings. And now it is my desire
to constantly keep that theme going throughout the entire day.
With great focus and intensity.

To truly achieve this, I must get rid of my TV. I must invest more time
in reading, studying, and learning from the Word of God.

That means no more football, Love and Hip Hop, 90 Day Finance, Naked and Afraid, and some of the other nonsense I use to pollute my mind with.

Until I WOKE, I had no idea how detrimental TV was to my mind.
It caused me to lust, commit idolatry, and gave me a false sense of reality.
Football caused me to gamble, which also leads to a multitude of misconduct. A man of God can’t do any of that. Not if I want to
Maximize my Manhood and prosper in everything I do.

The Bible is clear, obey God and prosper.
Disobey and suffer.

My life is my testimony, and I’m just getting started.
