Love Letter #20

Dec. 2012

My Dear Steven,

Hello handsome! How ya doing on this fine day? Per your request, here are a few of my poems that I’ve written in the past. May I also read some more of yours, too? I’d love that. We each have a past, that’s a fact. But what’s comforting is that we have a future together. Mwah.

POEM #1

Life is a gift
yet I’m on the side needing a lift.

I feel stranded in this body of mine,
yet everyone assumes I’m fine.
Gee, I could use a glass of wine,
Too bad my family would view that as crossing the line.

If life is a gift,
Then why can’t I just live it without rules & judgments to sift?

POEM #2

I have a goal in sight
Reach it I might
If I practice every day and night.

Motivation is the key
I need to know that this is for me.
The outcome I wish I could see.

I need to have the desire
To jump through a ring of fire
To gain an ambition even higher.

Discipline is a must
I don’t want my hard work to rust
or lose anyone’s trust.

Dedication is the glue
That keeps my goal in close view.

POEM #3

My heart is a square
because it is so rare.

I push my feelings to the corners
And let no one through the borders.

When will the right person aim to love me with their whole heart
And hit my inner bull’s-eye like a dart?

I Love You,
Suzie
