Day 14 In The Hole

I am sharing the journal I kept while I did 7 months in the hole.

Journal entry dated 12/9/08:

This morning they set out a chain. No one knows where. All I know is a group of guys left Minnesota. Then at about 1:30 pm they moved in a bunch of inmates from the pod next door. This is awesome! Because now I have Brice to my right nd Shawn directly above me. We’re al in here over that damn cell phone!

I like having these guys next to me. Now we can talk, and fish reading materials back and forth.

On 12-11-08 we learn our fate. That’s judgment day. Because of all the moves, it looks bad. It looks like they’re putting all the “long timers” in one pod. This pod! IDK…we’ll see.

Today went by fast for being in a box 24/7. I cleaned my cell. I spent a few hours talking to Shawn and Brice. I read two Idaho newspapers. Brice is from Idaho. I fished the papers from his cell to mine. I wrote in my journal. Now I’m ready to read a magazine until I crash out.

I remember this day like it was yesterday. I was so excited to see Shawn and Brice. Before they came in, I didn’t talk to anyone. Then all of a sudden, I had two buddies to help pass the time.
